Techrules unveils its hybrid track toy, Ren RS

The China-based company Techrules Racing reveals its new insane toy for big boys have some fun on the tracks. The Ren RS.

The Techrules Ren RS counts on six electric motors to generate 1,287 horsepower (960 kilowatts) and an amazing 238kg (1,725 lb-ft) of torque.

With two electric motors powering the front wheels and the other four the rear ones, the Ren RS has an acceleration from zero to 62mph estimated in around three seconds while the speed reaches its peak at 205 mph (330 kph).

Besides the electric motors, the Techrules Ren RS has also a pair of turbines fed by Diesel. The turbines drive a generator for charging a 28.4-kilowatt-hour lithium-polymer battery, then the power goes to the traction motors. It has a range of 1,170 km from 80 liters of diesel fuel (NEDC).

The Ren Rs is a track-only toy and it has room for the driver only. The car is made of carbon fiber and it boasts an insane design for maximum performance on the track featuring big front and rear spoilers to generate huge downforce.

Techrules will also make the Ren RS available with just four electric motors that can generate 640 kW (858 hp) of power and 1,560 Nm ( 1,150 lb-ft) of torque.
