McLaren Shows off the track-only Senna GTR Concept

The Senna hypercar carries the name of a track legend, now McLaren reveals a Senna version for the tracks only… The McLaren Senna GTR.

The McLaren Senna GTR is being previewed at the Geneva Motor Show as a 1 million pounds concept. The track-only beast will be limited to just 75 units and, although the order books are not open yet, McLaren is taking ‘expressions of interest’ at Geneva before technical details are revealed later this year.

As said, McLaren has not revealed any exact detail of its track-only hypercar yet, but it is said to have more power and greater torque than the road-legal Senna, at least 814bhp. The weight will be similar to those 1,198 kgs (2641lbs) of the road-legal McLaren Senna, though.

Although technical details are being kept secret, the new aerodynamic package is very visible and generates up to 1000kg of downforce. The McLaren Senna GTR features a larger front splitter, active front aero blades, wider fenders, and a humongous rear diffuser.

Further alterations for the McLaren Senna GTR include the additional benefit of a race-style transmission, revised double-wishbone suspension, Pirelli slick tires, and a new wheel design developed specifically for circuit use.
