Ferrari has revealed its new front mid-engined supercar prior to the official debut at the 87th Geneva Motor Show. The Ferrari 812 Superfast.
The Ferrari 812 Superfast comes powered by a new 6.5-liter naturally aspirated V12 engine able to generate 800 hp at 8,500rpm, a specific power output of 123 cv/l. 80% of the maximum torque is available at 3,500rpm while at 7000 rpm the car boasts 718NM of torque. This is the most powerful production car with an aspirated engine pulsing under the hood (The LaFerrari is the only car out there that boasts a naturally aspirated engine with the same amount of power).
Weighing (dry) 1525 kg (3362 lbs), the Ferrari 812 Superfast can accelerate from zero to 62 in 2.9 seconds while the top speed is over 340 km/h (211 mph). A dual-clutch transmission works to transfer an amazing amount of power to the ground.
The Ferrari 812 Superfast is being launched with a new (and special) color called Rosso Settanta in celebration of the 70th anniversary of the Prancing Horse company this year.
