The Koenigsegg Agera RS “Gryphon” Shows its golden stripes ahead of the Geneva Show
Koenigsegg has revealed the amazing beasts to be displayed at the Geneva Motor Show this year. One of them is this version of the Koenigsegg Agera RS called Gryphon. Yeah, the creature with the body, tail, and back legs of a lion; the head and wings of an eagle; and an eagle’s talons as its front feet.
The Koenigsegg Agera RS “Gryphon” is a very special edition and it features the whole body in clear carbon fiber while these golden stripes, as well as all the golden details you see on/in the car, are really gold. 24-carat gold leaf has been used for all external striping and badging, as well as the hood struts, engine badging and interior highlights.
A custom made racing helmet in carbon fiber has also received decoration in gold leaf, applied by hand at the Koenigsegg factory in Ängelholm by Italian master craftsman, Ettore ‘Blaster’ Callegaro.
The interior features black Alcantara, polish carbon fiber and black anodized aluminum and a lot of golden details.
Ordered with the optional 1MW engine, the Koenigsegg Agera RS “Gryphon” carries a V8 twin-turbocharged engine producing staggering 1360hp while the curb weight is just 1,395kg (3075 lbs), including fluids.
After the show, this beast will be delivered to a happy customer in the United States.
